Zero markup is one of the main ways Globitude Travels keeps fares down. Here's what the term means, where it applies, and what it does and doesn't change about your ticket.
What a flight markup is
A markup is an amount a seller adds on top of the fare before showing it to you. It's built into the price, so you normally can't see it or tell how large it is.
Two sites can show different prices for the same flight partly because of what each one adds. Knowing where no markup is added to the fare makes comparing easier.
How zero markup works on us.api.globitudetravels.com
On qualifying routes, Globitude Travels adds no markup to the fare. Zero markup covers the fare only. Taxes, airline surcharges and government fees still apply, as can a Globitude Travels service fee, and you approve the final price an agent confirms before anything is ticketed.
- No markup on qualifying routes. The fare isn't padded before it reaches you.
- A confirmed final price. An agent confirms taxes, airline charges and any service fee, and you approve the final price before ticketing.
- Cheapest first. Live fares from more than 600 airlines, sorted with the lowest at the top.
When you compare, compare like with like. The fare you pay online is the base fare, so ask the agent for the final price and hold that up against final prices elsewhere. The service fees page explains what can be added.
Does every route get 0% markup?
No. Zero markup applies to qualifying routes, not to every flight on us.api.globitudetravels.com, and routes and fares change, so the answer for one trip doesn't carry over to the next. Zero markup vs. phone-only fares
Zero markup is about what we add to a fare. Phone-only fares are about where the fare comes from. Our agents hold contracted consolidator fares that are not published online, and these can often come in below the published fare, especially on international trips.
So it pays to check both. Search online and note the fare, then call and ask the agent for the final price on those flights and for a phone-only fare on the same dates.

What zero markup doesn't change
Zero markup affects the fare, not the rules of the ticket. Baggage allowances and the conditions for changes and refunds depend on the fare you choose, so read our refund policy and terms and conditions before you book.
More ways to pay less
